Suicide in Winter

They say people tend to suicide more in winter.
Cause it's darker and maybe more sad, something like that.

Today I decided to postpone the idea until a sunny day in the middle of the summer,

I put up this rule for me "no suicide in winter"

I don't want people to blame the winter for that,

And I am really interested to see for myself, is it winter or is it just life that is so bothering.

in albert camus' "the stranger" the protagonist/antagonist killed an arab because it was so hot in the summer! strange are reasons behind what men do if not at all.

In fact suicide rates are higher at the end of winter and in the early mornings...I guess it's going through the dark or the cold, feeling a little better with the first lights or the warmth, and thinking that you might go through that severe darkness or coldness again...

@S : well I believe, at the end of the winter or begining of the day, when there is light, there is no hope anymore for things to get better if they have not got better in that light either.
now I can see that there is no point to suicide in winter, cause there is still hope for things to get better in the Spring, but if the Spring comes and nothing gets better...

@ism: yes, strange reasons indeed.
